A Wonderful Afternoon at the TTG Luxury Travel Awards.
‘‘An Industry Built on Knowledge and Relationships.”
Why Expertise Still Matters in Travel Planning.
Last Friday I had the pleasure of attending the TTG Luxury Travel Awards lunch at the beautiful Chancery Rosewood in London. It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the people, partnerships and knowledge that shape the luxury travel industry.
I was honoured to be named a finalist for Wellness Luxury Travel Designer of the Year, representing Wellbeing Travel, the company I founded to create thoughtful, well-designed journeys for my clients.
Although I didn’t win on this occasion, it was an honour simply to be included among such talented colleagues within the luxury travel community.
While the awards recognise individual categories, what I always enjoy most about these events is the opportunity to reconnect with the many hotel partners, tourism boards and suppliers I work with throughout the year. These relationships are an essential part of what allows me to design exceptional travel experiences.
Over more than forty years in the travel industry, I have learned that the most memorable journeys are rarely the result of a simple booking, but of knowledge, trusted relationships and careful attention to detail.
Travel planning today involves far more than simply booking flights and hotels. It’s about understanding destinations, knowing which properties genuinely suit a client, and having trusted relationships with the people on the ground who can make a journey run seamlessly.
Being recognised as a finalist was a lovely moment, but the real reward remains helping clients experience the world in ways that feel effortless, memorable and perfectly suited to them.
Congratulations to all the finalists and winners, and thank you to TTG Luxury for hosting such a special afternoon.
If you are thinking about your next journey, I would be delighted to help you plan it.
